Measure the final tabletop size
Record the required length and depth in centimetres. Note walls, skirting, columns and other obstructions, and allow sensible clearance rather than assuming the room is perfectly square.
Check the frame and overhang
Share the frame make, model, width and mounting points. We will use these to check the work surface is deep enough, supported correctly and balanced on every side.
Choose the thickness, finish and natural wood grain
We will show you the available solid-wood and finish choices. Natural grain, joins and colour variation are part of real wood, so the finished surface will have its own character.
Choose edges and corners
Straight edges feel crisp and minimal. Chamfered edges add a subtle angle. Rounded corners soften the shape for circulation routes and family spaces.
Mark cable openings precisely
Place grommets only after mapping monitors, clamps, power points and cable trays. A quick sketch with distances from two edges is the clearest way to confirm each opening.
