Overall dimensions
Larger desks use more material and may need additional support.
Fixed or adjustable height
An adjustable-height desk includes a suitable electric frame and moving components.
Wood and tabletop thickness
The timber, finish and thickness you choose affect the material required.
Shape and complexity
Corners, curves, unusual shapes and detailed construction take more planning and work.
Storage and shelving
Drawers, shelves and integrated features add useful functions as well as build time.
Accessories and cables
Power, charging and cable-management options are planned around your equipment.
Delivery, installation & access
Large desks may need to be made in sections. Lifts, stairs, doorways and room access help determine the practical delivery and installation scope.
